Did your baby's body type (&diaper fit) change?

My LO is 7 weeks, will she have these skinny leak-causing legs forever? I've read that babies chub up or slim down when they start crawling and walking, has anyone here experienced that? How do you use the same dipes unless they have the leg snap or leg elastic? I can't decide what diapers I should buy more of if her body type will change.
