***hulahoop*** (On broken washer)

Okay, I went out and bought a new washer yesterday (bites nails). Home Depot had a sale that was ending on the 23rd, I read a bunch of reviews, consumer reports, etc. Plus, I've got an infant, CDs, I can't really afford to go without a washer...

I decided on the Maytag Maxima 6000, which hulahoop recommended. (I looked for a top loader like I had before but all the ones I saw in stock at places around town had HORRIBLE reviews.)

Anyway, hula, you said:

ETA:  I just add a soak cycle (only 20 min) before my regular wash routine so that the diapers are already fully saturated with water.  That way there are no issues with the absorbent materials soaking up too much water.

Is this separate from your pre rinse cycle or does it replace it? Tell me about your wash routine, pretty please.
