Little girls - peeing everywhere!

I know this was posted a couple months ago, but I didn't have an answer and didn't come back to see the responses.  What is the trick to keep little girls from peeing everywhere?   It isn't an issue every time, but this morning when she was peeing on the small seat that fits on the big toilet, she peed straight at me!  Luckily I was about to get in the shower, but gross!
