Crib question

Our crib for Owen was a drop-side model, and it transitions to a toddler bed and then a full size bed.  We have the hardware to make it immobile that was sent to us when we learned of the recall a few months ago, but we just turned it in to his toddler bed.  We were planning on using that crib for baby #2, but I don't know if I really want to.  Especially now with drop sides banned, I am thinking we should just turn it in to his full size bed and buy a new one for this baby.  Thoughts?
