Baptising baby?

Are you going to baptise LO? I didn't grow up with a religion but DH grew up catholic and would like DD to be baptised. He of course is leaving the planning up to me and i haven't a clue what goes on during a baptism. We do belong to a church so we will have her baptised there, but do you have a party afterwards? At what age do you typically baptise a baby? Does she where a certain outfit? Do you send out invites? TIA!
