Giving dessert?

Just wondering how often you give your LO dessert?  We will give him a taste of something a few times a week after dinner, and usually once a week he will get a small serving of something, especially if we are at a party/family gathering.  Sometimes I will give him fruit as a dessert as well, if I think that he may still be hungry.
