Did/do you make visitors wash their hands?

During the first couple of weeks home did you make vistors wash their hands before they held your LO? I am thinking of doing this but I don't know if I am being over paranoid or if this just a good practice to have. Also if you did have visitors wash their hands how long , did you keep up the practice for??
