Update: all is well.  PHEW!  Just a little cyst/growth thingy the doctor took off in about 2 seconds.  Then lectured me for eleven hours about the importance of sunscreen.    Thanks so much for the kind words!

I have go to see a dermatologist this afternoon because I found a weird black mole-like spot on my back a few weeks ago.    Obviously, Dr. Google tells me I've got like 6 months to live.  I'm sure it's nothing, my mom is a nurse who worked in derm for 7 years and after inspecting it in the pic I emailed her, wasn't super alarmed ... but still, I'm a little nervous about this appointment.
