Why I LOVE AABC....

DH and I have been TTC for a year.  I had been going to AABC for well-woman checks, but recently started going to a fertility specialist since we were making no progress getting pregnant.  This month we got a BFP, but it ended in a loss.  The day it happened, I called the fertility center to talk to someone, but had trouble reaching either my doc or a nurse.  In the meantime, I called my midwife at AABC.  Not only did the receptionist remember me, she was so incredibly kind during what was a pretty major freak-out moment.  My midwife was in with her last patient of the day but returned my call as soon as she was done.  She talked to me for an HOUR of her own time, when she could have been at home with her own children, just calming me down, telling me step-by-step what to expect, and generally making me feel better.  She told me to call her anytime, day or night, and even come in to visit whenever I need it.  Or just a hug.  Or whatever.  I've only seen her 3 times, but she could not have been more supportive and caring.

My nurse at the fertility center finally called me back, and was fairly nonchalant about the whole thing.  I get that they deal with this all.the.time, but I was surprised at how clinical she was about it all.  She didn't offer up any advice or in any way let me know how this would all happen, even knowing that I had never been through this before.  I'm not trying to knock the center - we really like our doc and will continue to go there.  But it was night-and-day how I was treated.

If you've ever thought about AABC, I HIGHLY recommend them.  I understand that it's not for everyone, but I super puffy heart them.
