Another Q about bringing baby gear while traveling

I was telling DH last night that we'd have to bring DD's baby monitor and her white noise machine with us when we traveled.  He thought they might raise red flags at security.  Has anyone ever traveled with these items and do the security people flag you for closer inspection if you have them in your carry-on?  I'm almost tempted to have my parents just buy a white noise machine at Target there so we don't have to lug ours with us.  Ugh.
