We are starting to look into getting a new car in time for LO's arrival, so I am curious..

What do you drive or what you will drive when LO arrives?

Opinions, pros/ cons to the vehicle you have chosen?

I know  I've seen it on here before - does anyone know the website that tells the compatibility of specific cars and carseats? 

At first we were seriously considering a compact SUV, but now we are not so sure. I can't help but wonder if we are buying into the societal "norm" that if you have a kid a regular car just won't do.  Obviously safety is our number one concern...but I mean, my parents drove 3 of us around in a little 2 dr VW Beetle and managed...
