bed rest (and induction?)

Went in for my weekly routine OB appointment to find out my BP is through the roof. I only have trace protein in my urine (which is good!), so my OB ordered some blood work done and 48 hours bed rest to see if this will resolve itself. He mentioned possible hypertension.

I go in again tomorrow for an NST and another BP check. If my BP is still up by Thursday my OB said we would discuss induction.

I really do hope this resolves by Thursday, I'll be 38 weeks on Wednesday, so I know that if I have to be induced, baby would be okay, but I will do anything I can to avoid induction if possible.

On another note, my maternity leave was set to begin on Friday, so I don't mind a few days of early leave! I am a little sad to think I won't be able to say goodbye to my first graders, but baby comes first!
