question about maternity jeans

Ok I have a few pairs of maternity jeans, mostly from Motherhood but some from old navy. All but one have the full tummy panel. My question is this: is it normal for them to start falling down after walking around for a while?  They fit pretty snug until I have them on for about an hour or so then I'm constantly pulling up my drawers. What's worse is that they pull my undies down too. Awkward!

Is something that I'm just going to have to deal with or is it maybe a sizing issue? My work is casual. I usually wear jeans or maxi dresses, so I kind of need to get this figured out. Yesterday I was getting some weird looks from the couple behind me in the check out line at walmart due to pulling up my pants a few times during the wait.

Any thoughts??

 

Oh and I should mention that my bump is a good size and I have plenty of junk in my trunk to hold pants up, normally.
