Team Green Past & Present - ? for ya

I was talking to a friend about how important it is to us to have a successful team green pregnancy, meaning no accidental gender reveals at the OB's office.  This friend was team green on both her pregnancies. She told me that at her OB's practice when a couple chooses to be team green that the gender information is never put in the patient's chart and the Doc does not find out either.

For those of you that are or have been team green - do you know whether this is a typical or unusual practice?

I do plan to call this week and find out especially since our a/s is coming up.  I'm just trying to gauge this because I'm very tempted to ask them to leave it out and I'd like some reassurance that many other practices do this routinely.
