Where should I register?

I live in a small town where there are two major Baby superstores for me to register at, and I favor one store over the other. I am going to have two showers, one in my town and one in a larger city a few hours away.  The problem is, my favorite baby store doesn't exist in the larger city, so family and friends would have to resort to buying gifts online if I register there.  Should I just suck it up and register at both stores to give them the chance to bring an actual gift to the shower instead of shipping them to me? And if I do register at both stores, do I register for the same stuff at both?
