Need Help Choosing a Breast Pump

Hey Ladies,

I promise I've been trying to do my research, and read lots of reviews from moms that have actually used them, but I feel like I get mixed reviews on all the popular pumps. 

I am aware that some people complain about the Medela systems (and some others) getting milk in the tubes, and I'd prefer to avoid that due to the whole growing mold thing. I think this means that I want a closed system so that milk cannot get into tubes. Then I read about some of the closed tube systems losing suction or the motor dying over time. Then I hear that the reduction in suction count be because of the wrong sized flanges... Also... how important is the letdown on a breast pump system?

Anyone who can give me some guidance or explanations, I'd really appreciate it. I am completely overwhelmed by all of this. I don't mind spending $300 on a system if I know that I can have minimal trouble with it, and use it for years (or at least until my firstborn is weaned). But I definitely need some help here....
