Placenta previa?

I went in for my anatomy scan today and the great news is that the baby is healthy and a girl!  The only thing is that they said I have placenta previa and that it doesn't look like it will move out of the way.  As of right now it is completely blocking my cervix.  Anyone have this with any pregnancies?  I'm going to see a high risk specialist for a second look but wanted to know others experiences.  Tia.
