HI LADIES!!! Some of you may or may not recognize me from IF, but I'm hoping this is it for us. Let me recap the road I've been on (warning- it might get long!)
DH and I have been TTC for 2 years now, we got PG in Feb '11 and had a m/c around 8 weeks. I was active on TTCAL for a long time after that, then took a much needed break. We got PG again Nov '11. We lost that baby in Feb '12. Testing showed it had unbalanced chromosomes. My H and I were both tested and turns out I have a balanced translocation (13;14) I have one of each 13 & 14 and one that has the long arms of the 13&14 fused together (I only have 45 total chromosomes) a VERY traumatic thing to learn about yourself. We can only assume this was the reason for our first loss since that angel was never tested.
Genetic Counselors, my OB and RE all recommended IVF w/ PGD (genetic testing) as our next step. So I moved over to the IF board and my brain was overloaded with all things IVF. In May '12 we did our first IVF cycle w. PGD testing. We had one normal embryo that needed to be frozen (due to when it was tested) we opted to do another fresh cycle to try to get more eggs (I'm 37 so I know time is working against us!) we did another fresh cycle in July '12 that had one normal which we transferred and resulted in a chemical pregnancy. In Sept. '12 we did another fresh cycle (RE totally changed my protocol) and we had 39 eggs retrieved, 25 fertilize, 13 make it to 5-day blast when they were biopsied and 3 normals were found. We had to freeze all due to risk of OHSS.
Oct 23, 2012 we did a FET of two normal 5 day blasts and I we got a +hpt at
6dp5dt (last monday) my 1st beta (last thursday at 9dp5dt) was 113. My
second beta (yesterday at 12dp5dt) was 351. so doubling time of 44
hours. I find out today when my 1st u/s is. We're cautiously optimistic.
