Light spotting and cramping?

This morning I started spotting (brown) and lightly cramping. I called my OB's office, and the nurse put a call in to my OB, who said it was probably normal. The nurse said it could be the uterus getting bigger, especially since I'm having twins. This happened on Monday too, but went away by the afternoon. I'm still having light spotting and very mild cramping. (TMI, but the spotting hasn't got onto the pad, it's just when I wipe) Of course, I'm kinda freaking out

Anybody else experience this around 12 weeks? Thanks.
