Can I snuggle with my cat?

I know they say that if you're pregnant you should not clean the litter box (I've officially designated DH to be in charge of that), but am I still allowed to snuggle with my cat? He likes to curl up in my lap and rub his face all over me, including my face. We live in an apartment complex and the cat never ever has been outdoors except for in his kennel during transportation. He is about a year old.
