Stupid Q for C-Section Mamas

I read in a post below that some of you were waiting a while to have the next baby because of a C-Section. My doctor never mentioned anything to me about waiting a certain period of time before TTC again. I'd love to try for a VBAC - can anyone clue me in about the 'waiting period?' And is this the amount of time before getting pregnant, or before actually going into labor?
