first U/S

hi ladies-

I had my first US today at 6w2d. We saw one embryo with a heartbeat of 105. (I'm of course analyzing that). There is also a second smaller sac with a yolk sac, but no embryo. Oddly, the tech was able to see the smaller sac better with abdominal US vs transvaginal. (I guess it's in odd placement?) She visualized the normal sac just fine with the transvaginal US. My doctor doesn't think the smaller sac will make it.

For now i'm very happy with my healthy measuring embryo, but since i'm facing the loss of that smaller sac, I remain terrified of losing the healthy embryo too. I was hoping to feel relief today, but i'm honestly just more scared. Now that I know there is actually a baby in there, I don't want to lose it. Hoping to make it through the next few weeks- but geez the first trimester is anxiety provoking!!
