Pictures advice and suggestions

I had planned on taking some fall themed photos of DS this weekend. I wanted to get some pumpkins and do some different photos with him in and around pumpkins and my neighbors mums that he has planted in his yard. I was really excited about it....but Mother Nature does not seem to want me to do this. It is supposed to be cold and rainy and even if it doesn't rain it is supposed to be really cold and I don't want to keep DS outside without being dressed appropriately. SO....I need some suggestions on how to take fall themed photos inside the house. I can still get some pumpkins but how should I "stage" it? Suggestions?
