BabySense baby monitor..

I have a BabySense baby monitor (Like AngelCare) that I have under LO's crib mattress. The only problem I'm running into is false readings. If you are standing near the crib, it picks up your movement. It's also catching my 15lb cats movement. I'm not sure how to fix it. Now I'm back at square 1 not feeling comfortable. I thought having his crib in my room and his monitor on would help.. but after seeing the false readings.. I'm even more freaked out!
