Bad news

I got the call today that my blood work put me at a 1/20 % chance of having a baby with down's.  This was quite a blow since our NT scan was perfect. 

We have pretty much decided that we will do the amnio in 2 weeks to get a definitive diagnosis.  I can't believe this is happening!  I know my age put me at a higher risk but I had just hoped that after all these years of struggling with IF things were starting to go our way!

DB is very optimistic...or at least he's putting on that face, and saying I need to look at it in a different light and reverse the 1/20 and instead think we have a 95% chance that everything is fine.  I love him for that but all I can do right now is sit and cry.

Have any of you had these results and done an amnio?
