sweating in carseat?

Anybody else have problems with little one sweating in carseat?  Even in this cooler weather, LO will sweat, I go to take him out of the carseat and his back is damp.  I try to make sure he is dressed warm enough, but no so warm that he is going to sweat and then get chilled because of the sweat....Ideas?  How do you dress your little one when going out and about to keep warm but not too warm?
