Just read the thread about sleeping in the car seats and wanted to tell you about my sister's kids. They ONLY slept in their car seats.  First in their car seats in the co sleeper, then in their cribs.  My sister just fessed up and told us she weened them off the car seat at 6 months!  Long story short they are now 7 and 4 and are healthy, normal babies that sleep in real beds with no problem.  So, if your kid sleeps keep throwing em in that seat for as long as you need to.
