Juice Question

So my mom keeps insisting that DS needs a juice bottle, I dont have an appointment until his 4 month check up on 11/20 and am just curious if anyone knows about giving LO juice? He is having plenty of dirty and wet diapers so I know he is getting enough. I am just worried that with his reflux that juice might be a bad idea and I think my mom is just stuck in the mind set of what she did with me and my brother when we were little. Thankfully I know she wont give it to him unless I give her the ok but she keeps asking about it.
