What strange advice have you gotten?

I was waiting to pick up my lunch at a little market today, and the young woman in front of me was talking to DS and commenting about how she wished she had a baby.  I made some offhand comment about being up all night because he wouldn't sleep, and she was like, "Oh, I know exactly what you need to do!  Take whatever clothes he's wearing, turn them inside out, and put them back on that way.  He will go right to sleep!"  Um, what?

What kind of weird advice have you gotten?
