Trying to find a thumb

Dd has taken a paci since the beginning. The last few days she has started sucking her fist and trying really hard to get her thumb in her mouth. She then gets frustrated and cries. I'm not opposed to thumb sucking for now, she often wakes up looking for her paci and goes back to sleep as soon as I give it to her. But I don't want her sucking her thumb when she is older. Ahhh what to do what to do!?
