Color choice for baby items??

We are waiting until we know the baby gender to start shopping for baby items such as crib, pack-and-play, stroller, diaper bag, etc, but as a curiosity, we went to a baby store last weekend to walk around to see what items are out there. 

It was fun to see so many choices, but I don't know what color we should choose!  We will definitely try to have a second child.  We started thinking if we picked a particular color (let's say Pink b/c we are having a girl) and have a boy next, would we have to buy everything in boyish color????  It's such a hillbilly thing to do to put a baby boy in a pink stroller, right?!?!  Is it safe to buy items in neutral color???  But, pink/blue are so cute....  What color choice are you making??

Also, have you been parking at "Expectant Mother" section?  I did it for the first time and felt awesome and VIP!
