Early Ultrasound

Please let me know if I?m being crazy!!! I will be 6 weeks on Saturday September 1^st and my first appointment isn?t until September 14^th. We have not told anyone yet, however on September 15^th we have a weeding to go to and it will be very odd and suspicious to our friends if I?m not drinking. Now I know I will find out on the 14^th if things are going ok however I don?t want to drop the big news on my best friend?s wedding day?? I guess what I?m getting at is has any one had an early ultrasound done at one of those ultrasound clinics to give you piece of mind???? I just want to know things are ok before we tell people!!!
