Hair dying

We recently decided to start TTC and I have very fake blonde hair.  Is it true that your not supposed to die your hair at all in the first trimester? I know its selfish but I really like the color of my hair and I don't want to walk around with half brown hair and half blonde hair.  Any suggestions? Or should I just bite the bullet and dye my hair brown?
