Telling my boss?

I'm around 8 weeks pregnant. And I don't plan on telling my boss until after my first appointment (next week-I'll be 9 weeks) or once I get out of my first trimester (end of August/beginning of September). However, I'm nervous about how to tell him. I've been here for almost 6 months. I guess it just makes me nervous because my boss is rarely in the office so I mainly socialize/work with my three other co-workers. I'm also terrifeid of getting fired once I tell him, which I don't think he would do, but I'm paranoid. Any advice?
