1st Trimester

FTMs--The best advice nobody gave me.

I am a FTM and when I used to hang out on this tri board, sometimes moms who had their babies would come back here with advice. For some reason, none of them ever said to start working out my arms, but it would have been SO helpful if I did!

Especially for BFers, when your baby goes through the cluster feeding stage, your arms will be ON FIRE if they aren't used to holding weight. A lot of babies like to be held draped over an arm in the "football hold," and that taxes your arm muscles as well.  I swear I had arm cramps nonstop for the first three weeks! I wish somebody had told me to start taking hand weights along with me for my walks. I would have been so much more comfortable!
