Misconceptions re nt scan/cvs

I'm tired of hearing people say they are turning down genetic screening because they would still love a baby with DS. These tests screen for other genetic defects that are often incompatible with life. Having already had a stillbirth I will be getting testing done because I'd like to know in advance if I'm not going to be bring a live baby home again. Also, DS varies in severity and is frequently accompanied by severe heart defects. Sorry for the rant but it's not so black and white and genetic testing does not equal not loving a special needs child.
