spotting and cramping after sex?

This is my 2nd pregnancy and with my first I spotted after sex....well last night I woke up around 1:30 to pee and had some watery pink spotting. I wasn't so concerned about that but after I emptied my bladder I started getting cramps that felt very much like period cramps.  They got really uncomfortable and kept me up so I took tylenol and they stopped.

Would sex cause spotting and cramps like this?  I have an appt today for bloodwork (I'm only 4 weeks) so I'll ask them but it scared the crap out of me.  No cramps this morning and no spotting.
