Should we wait to tell our close family?

June 2012 in 1st Trimester

My husband and I just found out we are pregnant with a home pregnancy test yesterday (Father's Day)!! We are super excited and I want to tell our parents/siblings already, but our first prenatal appointment isn't for another week. Should we wait until my OB/GYN confirms the pregnancy, or is it okay to tell our immediate family now?
