Fun with lizards

I walked by my front door this afternoon and found a lizard (6" head to tail) sitting on my inside doormat. We stared at each other for 30 sec and then I threw a towel that was by the door over him. Luckily he let me pick up the entire mat, take him outside and he ran off when I lifted the towel. 

He was the boldest and calmest lizard I've ever encountered. I wish him well.
