Tips for using doppler.

May 2012 in 1st Trimester

Just got my Sonoline B doppler in the mail the other day. I have only been able to hear what I think may be my placenta and possibly my own heartbeat... I'm not even sure I'm looking in the right place! I know it may still be too early, I'm only 9 1/2 weeks. Anyone have this doppler and have any tips on locating the heartbeat?
