Daycare Center vs In-Home

I searched around the Bump a little, and couldn't really find a good advice post on the topic.  I'll be a first time mom and I will be going back to work after maternity leave.  I've been told by friends that infant spots in a daycare can be hard to come by at times, so start looking early.  Similarly, in-home daycares have even less capacity for infants.  So, I've started looking and it's overwhelming.  

Experienced moms, any wisdom you'd like to share on the topic of daycare vs in-home?
