slow heart rate

Last week I went for what was suppose to be my first prenatal appointment. According to my LMP I was suppose to be about 8 weeks, but when they went in for the ultrasound I was only measuring 6 weeks and the heart rate was only 88 bpm (which they said they like for it to be around 100).  So they scheduled me to come again this Friday.  Just wondering if anyone out there had a same situation and what was the outcome.  I had a miscarriage a few months ago and want to see what the chances are of that happening again.
