Heart rate above 160?

 Hi Ladies,

I have a quick guilty for believing old wives tales question.. I have two boys (who I love and cherish and couldn't be happier about), but this time around am hoping for a little girl (first of course for a healthy baby). I had my 16 week visit on Tuesday and my doc said peanut's heart rate was steady and holding in the 160's- I have heard this can be a sign of a girl. With my boys I remember heart rates in the 140's or there abouts. Now I am aware that every baby is different and that the rate does change throughout pregnancy, but I am curious to know if anyone out there had a baby with a higher heart rate and gave birth to a girl? or a boy? Thanks for the input!!
