16 week appointment

Good morning, ladies!

Today is my 16 week appointment.  We're doing an elective u/s to determine the sex, so I have some questions.

I've had 2 nurses tell me to drink a Mountain Dew before my u/s to ensure the baby isn't snoozing and will be wiggling around so we can see his/her little weewee (geez, I'm already in baby mode).

At my 12 week appointment, the Dr just found the heartbeat with the doppler, talked for a few minutes and we were done.  What can I expect at the 16 week appointment?  We aren't doing the u/s until after the appointment since they're just squeezing it in, so I am trying to determine how long the appointment will take so I can time the caffeine accordingly.  

Sorry if this has been discussed multiple times.  I looked through two pages before asking but didn't see anything.
