Starting to get freaked out about having a girl....

I found out a few weeks ago we are having a girl, and my husband and I are so excited.

Today I got 2 bits of bad news about teenage girls that are close to me......the 1st just turned 15 and is pregnant, the other girl I just found out has been molested by someone close to us.

Im just getting freaked out about all the bad things that can happen as our baby girl grows up! I know bad things can happen to boys too.....but my husband and I both feel like a girl can be more vulnerable....am I totally wrong? What do you guys think?
