Something wrong?!

I feel like I am either a bad mommy or there is something wrong with my kid! He is 28 days old today and I have such a hard time getting him back to sleep after he wakes up around 4 - 430. He seems to get settled and almost asleep then he just starts screaming! I try everything. We even give him gas drops at every feeding. I feel like a failure when I cannot get him to stop crying and I am tired. And my back hurts. I am almost ready to try formula to see if maybe that helps my poor baby.
