Ban on telling Mom's baby sex??

I read an article today about not revealing gender to mom's because of late term abortions due to gender disappointment!  I can understand being really hopeful for a boy or a girl, but to terminate a pregnancy once you've found out is horrible!!!  I can't believe that this is such a problem that some countries are actually thinking about banning telling parents about babies gender!  I know for me finding out the gender gave me that connection with our LO that I was having trouble with before.  You can't have boys without girls!!
