Has anyone used BabyTrend carseats?

I love the system and scanned it at the store while I was registering, but I am still not totally sure because of the seat design: the release for clicking in and out of the carseat base is in the front of the seat which means I will have to stick my hand down between the seat back and the carseat in order to release it. (I will be driving a little 2 door Mustang)

Has anyone used this type of seat? Is it really harder than the back releasing seats like Graco etc? Or am I just worrying for nothing?
