XP: Nursery Bedding and decor question

**I accidentally posted this on 2nd tri instead of here first  :P**

We are having a girl but my husband is very against a pink room. So I have fallen in love with some tan and ivory bedding and area carpet from restoration hardware. I am wondering if this will look ok with dark esspresso furniture and a taupe/darker tan wall with a large white scroll-y tree decal and white mobile. (The rest of the finishings in the room are already white (doors, trim, and window shade.)

Now second question... the price of the skirt, bumper, and fitted sheet alltogether is $319 with no quilt! Yikes!  I am learning from here and other mom's that these lovely bedding sets with quilts and bumpers are not really necessary but I feel really strange just ordering the skirt and bumper (bumper - to be used when it is safe.) 

Am I getting myself stuck later on down the road becuse I won't have a blanket? Or am I going crazy over thinking this? Any other suggestions?
