i posted this on the facebook page & figured i would post it here as well.
today i got gifted a never been used crib, from a friend whose 2 year old just never used it (also gave me the changing table that matches). when i picked it up they informed me that they miss placed the instruction manual to assemble (but it is mostly assembled) & advised me to double check the recalls list since it is now about 3 years old, just to be safe. either way a possible free crib, is better than not be offered. & the changing table will work just great!
it is a Simlicity Kingston 4-in-1 http://www.babyage.com/cribs-and-baby-furniture/simplicity-kingston-4-in-1-sleep-system-w-trundle-drawer-44854.htm
in my searching to find a new manual i stumbled upon comments saying this model was possibly recalled. so sadly i think it might be on a recall list, but not 100% sure. i think it falls into this recall as it has a tubular support.

anyone ever deal with a recalled item before? i hear you can return it to a store for credit, is that correct? the company that makes it is no longer in business and on the page it says to return to store purchased for recall. sorry if this is a stupid question. this is totally new thing for me. any enlightenment would be appriciated. thanks for the help
